Dana and Zoe were victims of the 9/11 attacks. They were from University Park, Maryland, and were passengers on American Airlines Flight 77, along with their parents, Charles Falkenberg and Leslie Whittington. Leslie was a professor at Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and was being sent to work at the University of Canberra in Australia for a few months. Charles and the girls were going along with her, and were on Flight 77 for their first leg of the trip. The plane was sadly hijacked and crashed into the Pentagon.
Zoe was a top student at University Park Elementary School, and enjoyed Girl Scouts, ballet, and swimming. Dana attended Greenwood Nursery School and loved princesses. She was seen as a miracle by her parents.
