John Fitzgerald Kennedy (May 29, 1917 - November 22, 1963), commonly referred to by his initials JFK, was an American politician who served as the 35th President of the United States from January 1961 until his assassination in November 1963.

Assassination Edit

On November 22, 1963, in Dallas, Texas, Kennedy was riding in an open-top car with his wife Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally's wife, Nellie when he was fatally shot in the head and neck by a sniper. His killer Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested by the Dallas Police Department 70 minutes after the initial shooting. On November 24, 1963, Oswald was shot and killed by Jack Ruby, a night club owner.
